About Me

Harold “Butch” Ingram, Jr. has served as a committed instructional leader for nearly 25 years. As transformational leader, and devoted educator and administrator, he is well known for cultivating and reconstructing school cultures – where every student can thrive.

Mr. Ingram’s career in education began as a classroom teacher at Glasgow High and Kirk Middle School. Thereafter, he went on to become the assistant principal at Christina School District where he played an integral role in the development and implementation of organizational directives centered on school improvement initiatives – impacting both faculty and students.

Currently, Mr. Ingram provides administrative oversight to Glasgow high school as the school principal.

Mr. Ingram has an exceptional rapport with his students, faculty, staff, and families. He is adept at building learning environments where anyone within his reach – is emboldened to do their best. It has been said he fosters a heartfelt climate of inclusion where diverse thoughts are freely shaped, accepted and integrated into school culture and instruction – resulting in the academic acceleration of all students.

As a coach and mentor, Mr. Ingram is committed to supporting and developing his team all-the-while fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders. He believes through professional accountability, securing parental and community businesses as partners while investing in our children will ultimately prepare the next generation of students for civic, business, and social leadership.

Mr. Ingram holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Delaware, a master’s degree in Education from Wilmington University, and currently pursuing his doctoral degree at Wilmington University.

Mr. Ingram is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi (KA) Fraternity, Inc. and holds numerous positions in community organizations to include the Delaware Futures Board of Directors, President;

Lighthouse Project Board of Directors, President; Union Lodge #21 F&AM PHA); The Monday Club, Member.

Mr. Ingram’s motto is coined by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. “Look at a man the way he is. and he only becomes worse. but look at him as if he were what he could be. then he becomes what he should be.
